The share of customers a business keeps over a period — the inverse of churn, and the basis of durable channel value.

Retention rate is the percentage of customers a business retains over a period — the inverse of churn.
It separates creators who acquire loyal customers from those whose customers leave. Read against CAC and repeat purchase rate per cluster, retention reveals a creator's true channel value.
