Brand-safety review

The step where a creator and their cluster are screened against brand-safety policy before a brief is activated against them.

Also known as: Safety review · Suitability check

Brand-safety review is the step where a creator and their associated cluster are screened against the brand's safety policy before a brief is activated against them. It sits between cluster targeting and brief publish.

What gets screened

  • IAB category tags and custom safety taxonomies.
  • Recent posting history for flagged content types.
  • Audience-side signals around demographic suitability for the brand.
  • Disclosure and regulatory compliance history.

How it scales

Per-brief manual review doesn't scale. A Creator Commerce OS exposes brand-safety policy as a workspace-level rule set, then enforces it at brief publish time — creators flagged by the rule set don't surface in the cluster's auto-invite list without operator override.

What this enables

The brand's safety team writes the rule set once. The cluster engine applies it across every campaign. Operators stop spending the first hour of every brief hand-checking handles against the safety policy.
