Attribution

The process of assigning revenue to the creator, cluster, and campaign that drove it.

Also known as: Revenue attribution

Attribution in creator commerce is the process of mapping observed revenue back to the creator, cluster, and campaign that produced it — at the creator level, not the campaign level. See the attribution architecture whitepaper for the full system.

Why creator-level matters

A campaign-level number is unactionable. A creator-level number tells you who to invite back, who to drop, and which clusters are worth doubling down on.

The three first-party surfaces

  1. Tag — a lightweight on-page tag captures attributed sessions.
  2. QR — per-creator QR codes capture offline and physical-retail conversions.
  3. Promo — per-creator promo codes capture redemptions at checkout.

Together these survive cookie deprecation, work cross-device, and reconcile against the brand's own order data.
