Whitelisting

Running ads from a creator's own handle, with their permission — combining creator credibility with paid targeting.

Also known as: Allowlisting · Spark ads

Whitelisting (also called allowlisting, or Spark Ads on TikTok) is when a brand runs paid ads through a creator's own handle, with the creator's permission, so the ad carries the creator's name and credibility while the brand controls targeting and budget.

It requires usage rights and is a way to scale a high-performing creator post as paid media. Attribution on whitelisted ads still rolls up to the creator via first-party links and codes.
