Usage Rights

The license that lets a brand reuse a creator's content in its own channels and ads — separate from paying for a post.

Also known as: Content rights · Licensing

Usage rights are the license a creator grants a brand to reuse their content in the brand's own channels — paid social, website, email — for a defined time and scope.

They are priced separately from the creator's audience: with UGC, usage rights are most of what you are buying. Clear usage terms (duration, platforms, paid vs organic) belong in the brief, and they are a prerequisite for whitelisting a creator's post as an ad.
