Stripe Connect

The Stripe product that powers marketplace-style payouts to third parties — used by cyrqle to pay creators in Europe and the US.

Also known as: Connect

Stripe Connect is the Stripe product purpose-built for marketplaces and platforms that need to pay third parties. cyrqle uses Connect (Express accounts) for creator payouts in Europe and the US. A person releases each payout, and settlement is in EUR. For creators elsewhere, the brand pays by bank transfer and records it in cyrqle.

Why it matters

  • Scheduled payouts — a payout is scheduled when a creator delivers, and a person releases it.
  • EUR settlement — cyrqle settles in EUR. Connect itself supports other currencies, but cyrqle does not offer multi-currency payouts.
  • Identity checks — Stripe handles creator onboarding and verification. cyrqle does not collect tax forms.
  • No funds-held risk — funds settle directly into creator accounts; cyrqle is a platform on top of Stripe, not a custodian.

What this replaces

For brands, it replaces a quarterly CSV reconciliation job that used to live in finance and got run by a junior who hated it. For creators, it replaces 30–60 day payment terms that made participation feel like working for free.
