Frequency

The average number of times a person sees a campaign's content — too low under-delivers, too high wastes spend.

Also known as: Ad frequency

Frequency is the average number of times each person in the audience is exposed to a campaign — impressions divided by reach.

There is a sweet spot: too little frequency and the message doesn't land; too much and you pay to annoy people who already saw it. High audience overlap between creators is a common cause of runaway frequency.
